Privacy

This is a personal advisory site. It isn’t a platform, it doesn’t sell anything, and it has no interest in building a profile of you. Here’s exactly what it collects and why — in plain English, because you shouldn’t need a lawyer to read a privacy page.

The Proving Ground application

If you apply, the form asks for:

  • Your name, email, and optionally a phone number
  • Your company name and website
  • Your country, stage, and monthly revenue band
  • The biggest problem you’re facing right now

Why: I read every application myself, and I can’t assess fit without knowing the stage and the problem. The revenue band is a range, not a figure — I don’t need your books.

What happens to it: It goes into a private database only I can read. Applications are write-only from the public side — once submitted, nobody browsing the site can read anyone’s application back, including their own. It isn’t shared, sold, or used for marketing. If you’re not selected, your application stays on file unless you ask me to delete it.

Files you upload to the tools

The pitch deck review, market sizing, and data room tools let you upload a file.

Where it goes: A private storage bucket, filed under your account. The access rules are enforced by the database itself, not by application code — only you and I can retrieve it. Other users cannot, even if they know the filename.

The NDA: Every upload records which NDA version you accepted and when. If you’re uploading something commercially sensitive, that agreement is live from the moment you tick the box — not a formality.

Deletion: Ask and I’ll remove the file and the request. No process, just email me.

The AI chat

The “Chat with Wael” assistant is a model trained on my public writing and approach. It is not me, and it should not be treated as advice from me.

What’s stored: Nothing, on my side. Conversations aren’t written to any database. Your chat history lives in your own browser — clear it and it’s gone, including from my end, because I never had a copy.

What’s sent: Your message and the last twelve exchanges go to the AI provider to generate each reply. That’s how the model keeps context. Nothing older is retained.

Limits: Twenty messages an hour, 2,000 characters a message. Not a dark pattern — it’s a demo running on my own budget. If you hit the ceiling, that’s a good sign we should talk properly. Book a slot.

Don’t paste anything confidential into it. Use the tools with the NDA for that.

Accounts

You only need an account to use the tools and track a review. It stores your email and authentication details — nothing else. No profile, no tracking across sites.

Analytics and cookies

The site records aggregate visitor numbers: pageviews, roughly where visitors come from, what device they’re on, which country. It’s counted in aggregate — I can see that forty people read an article, not which forty.

No advertising cookies. No ad networks. No data brokers. Nobody is paying to reach you here.

Your data, your call

Email waelaltorabi@gmail.com and ask me to:

  • Send you everything I hold on you
  • Correct something wrong
  • Delete all of it

I’ll do it, and I won’t ask why. There’s no form and no retention team — it’s one person and a database.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date below updates.
